Walking
From Ascona, head towards the Ascona ferry terminal located along the lakeside promenade. Take the ferry to Locarno, which operates regularly throughout the day. Once you arrive at Locarno, exit the ferry terminal and follow the signs to the bus station. Catch bus number 313 towards Bellano. After approximately 30 minutes, disembark at the Camaggiore stop. From there, Alpe Camaggiore is a short 10-minute walk uphill. Follow the signs leading towards the mountain hut; it will be a pleasant walk through nature.
Public Transport
Begin at the Ascona bus station, which is located near the center of town. Board bus number 1 towards Locarno. After about 15 minutes, you will arrive at Locarno railway station. From there, transfer to the train heading to Bellano. The train ride takes about 20 minutes. Once you reach Bellano, exit the station and look for the bus stop directly outside. Take bus number 7 towards Camaggiore. The bus ride will take around 10 minutes, and you will get off at the stop named Camaggiore. Alpe Camaggiore is a short walk up the hill from the bus stop.
