Getting There

Bus
From Ascona, walk to the nearest bus stop, which is 'Ascona, Piazza G. Motta'. Take bus number 31 towards 'Lugano, Stazione'. The journey will take approximately 30 minutes. Once you reach 'Lugano, Stazione', transfer to bus number 2 towards 'Lugano, Parco Ciani'. After about 10 minutes, get off at the 'Lugano, Parco Ciani' stop, which is right next to the park entrance.

Ferry
Start by walking to the Ascona Ferry Terminal. From there, take the ferry towards 'Lugano'. The ferry ride will give you a beautiful view of the lake and will take around 20 minutes. Once you arrive at the 'Lugano' ferry terminal, walk straight towards 'Piazza Riforma' and then take a left onto 'Via Nassa'. Follow this road until you reach 'Via Ciani', where you will find the entrance to Parco Ciani.

If you prefer a scenic walk, head towards the main road from Ascona. Walk along 'Via della Libertà' towards the lake. Continue on the lakeside promenade until you reach 'Lugano'. This will take approximately 1 hour and 15 minutes, so wear comfortable shoes. Once you arrive in Lugano, head towards 'Piazza Riforma', and from there, follow 'Via Nassa' to 'Via Ciani' to reach the park.
