    If you are starting from Lugano's main train station (Stazione di Lugano), exit the station and walk towards the main road (Viale della Repubblica). Turn right onto Viale della Repubblica and continue straight. After about 800 meters, you will reach a roundabout. At the roundabout, take the first exit onto Viale Carlo Cattaneo. Continue walking for about 300 meters, and you will find the Cantonal Museum of Natural History on your left at Viale Carlo Cattaneo 4.

  • Public Transport - Bus

    From Lugano's main train station (Stazione di Lugano), head to the bus terminal located just outside the station. Take bus number 2 or 4 towards 'Cassarate' or 'Breganzona'. You will need to get off at the 'Cassarate' stop. Once you exit the bus, walk straight for about 450 meters on Viale Carlo Cattaneo, and the Cantonal Museum of Natural History will be on your right at Viale Carlo Cattaneo 4.

    If you are near the city center, you can take the funicular from the city to the top of the hill. Board the funicular at the 'Lugano Città' station and ride it to the top. Once you exit, follow the signs to return to the city center. Walk down the hill towards the main road (Viale della Repubblica) and then turn left. Continue straight until you reach the roundabout, then take the first exit onto Viale Carlo Cattaneo. The museum will be located on your left side after approximately 300 meters.
