Walking
Start at the center of Ascona, specifically at the Piazza Giuseppe Motta, which is easily recognizable and often bustling with activity. From there, head northeast towards the lakefront promenade along Lake Maggiore. Walk along the promenade for about 600 meters, enjoying the beautiful views of the lake. Continue until you reach the main road, Via della Pace. At the end of the promenade, turn left onto Via della Pace and walk for approximately 400 meters until you reach the bus stop 'Ascona, Posta'.

At the 'Ascona, Posta' bus stop, board the bus heading towards Locarno. The bus ride should take about 10 minutes. Get off at the 'Locarno, Stazione' stop, which is the main train and bus station in Locarno. Exit the bus terminal and head towards Via Bartolomeo Rusca by walking straight for about 200 meters.

Once you reach Via Bartolomeo Rusca, turn left and walk for about 300 meters. You will see the entrance to Visconteo Castle on your right. The castle is located at Via Bartolomeo Rusca 5, 6600 Locarno. Enjoy your visit!
