From the center of Ascona, walk to the nearest bus stop 'Ascona, Piazza G. Motta'. Take Bus Line 1 towards 'Locarno'. After about 15 minutes, get off at 'Locarno, Stazione'. From there, change to Bus Line 2 towards 'Bellagio'. Stay on the bus for approximately 30 minutes and get off at 'Magreglio, Santuario'. The Madonna del Ghisallo will be a short walk from the bus stop.

Head to the 'Ascona, Piazza G. Motta' bus stop and take Bus Line 1 to 'Locarno, Stazione'. From Locarno, walk to the train station and take a train towards 'Mendrisio'. After about 20 minutes, transfer at 'Como' station and take a train towards 'Lecco'. Get off at 'Lecco' station. From there, take Bus Line 5 towards 'Magreglio'. Get off at 'Magreglio, Santuario'. The Madonna del Ghisallo is a short walk from the bus stop.

If you prefer to walk, you can head to the 'Ascona, Piazza G. Motta' bus stop and take Bus Line 1 to 'Locarno, Stazione'. Then walk to the nearby ferry terminal and take a ferry across Lake Maggiore to 'Baveno'. From Baveno, take Bus Line 2 towards 'Bellagio' and get off at 'Magreglio, Santuario'. The Madonna del Ghisallo will be a short walk from there.
