Getting There

• Walking

  From the center of Ascona, head towards the lakeside promenade. Walk along the promenade heading east until you reach the ferry terminal. Once there, take the boat to Lugano. The ferry ride will offer beautiful views of the lake and surrounding mountains. When you arrive at the Lugano ferry terminal, exit the terminal and walk straight along the waterfront promenade (Viale Castagnola) for about 10 minutes until you reach the main square of Lugano (Piazza della Riforma). From there, take Via Nassa, which leads you through the shopping district. Continue straight on Via Nassa until you reach Piazza Alessandro Manzoni.   From Ascona, walk to the nearest bus stop, which is located at the main square (Piazza Giuseppe Motta). Take bus line 31 towards 'Lugano, Stazione'. The bus ride takes approximately 30 minutes. Once you arrive at the Lugano train station, exit the bus and head down Via Giuseppe Mazzini towards the city center. Continue straight until you reach Piazza della Riforma.
