    From Ascona, walk to the Ascona bus station, which is located near the lake. Take the bus to Locarno. Once you arrive at Locarno, follow the signs to the train station. Board the train heading towards Domodossola. After about 45 minutes, you will arrive at Santa Maria Maggiore. The train station is within walking distance of the main attractions in Santa Maria Maggiore.
