Tram
If you are near the Basel SBB train station, take Tram Line 10 towards 'Riehen, Grenze'. Get off at the 'Schwarzwaldallee' stop, which takes about 7 minutes. From there, walk straight along the 'Schwarzwaldallee' for about 5 minutes until you reach the 'Spalenvorstadt' street. Then turn left on 'Spalenvorstadt', and you will see Spalentor ahead. It will be a short 3-minute walk.
Walking
If you are in the city center, you can walk to Spalentor. From the Rathaus (Town Hall), head east on 'Rathausgasse', then continue straight onto 'Fleischmarkt'. After about 10 minutes of walking, take a right onto 'Spalenvorstadt'. Spalentor will be about 5 minutes further down the road on your left.
Bus
From the 'Bahnhof SBB' bus stop, take Bus Line 30 towards 'Birsfelden, Rothausstrasse'. Get off at 'Schwarzwaldallee', which is the same stop for the tram. After getting off, walk straight along 'Schwarzwaldallee' for about 5 minutes, then turn left onto 'Spalenvorstadt'. Spalentor will be a short 3-minute walk from there.
