Getting There

  • Walking

    If you are starting at the Basel SBB train station, exit the station and head towards the Tram stop. Take Tram Line 8 towards "Riehen, Gartenstadt". Ride for three stops and get off at "Basel, Marktplatz". From the tram stop, walk straight towards the Town Hall (Rathaus) in the Marktplatz. As you approach the Town Hall, you will see a large square. Continue walking straight until you reach the Münsterplatz. Basler Münster will be on your right, directly facing you as you enter the square.

  • Bus

    From the Basel SBB train station, walk to the nearby bus stop "Basel, Bahnhof SBB". Take Bus 36 towards "Basel, Badischer Bahnhof". Ride for 5 stops and get off at "Basel, Münster". Once you exit the bus, walk towards the Münsterplatz where Basler Münster is located. The cathedral will be visible as you approach the square.

  • Tram

    From the center of Basel, make your way to the nearest tram stop, such as "Basel, Bankverein". Board Tram Line 10 towards "Basel, Bahnhof SBB". After 2 stops, change at "Basel, Marktplatz". Exit the tram and walk straight ahead towards the large square where you will see the Town Hall. Continue walking until you reach Münsterplatz where you will find Basler Münster.

    If you are near the Rhine River, walk towards the "Mittlere Brücke" (Middle Bridge). Cross the bridge and head towards the old town. Once you reach the other side, keep walking straight until you see the signs directing you to "Münster". Follow the signs and you will arrive at Münsterplatz, where Basler Münster is located.
