Getting There

    If you are already in Altstadt, getting to UNESCO - Bern Old Town is easy on foot. Start at the Zytglogge (Clock Tower), a well-known landmark. From Zytglogge, head down Kramgasse Street, which is the main thoroughfare. Continue walking straight for about 5 minutes on Kramgasse until you reach Kramgasse 40. The UNESCO site is located at this address. Make sure to take in the beautiful architecture along the way!

  • Public Transport

    Although walking is the best option as the Old Town is very close, if you prefer public transport, you can take a tram. Head to the nearest tram stop, which could be 'Zytglogge' or 'Bundesplatz'. Board tram line 9 or 10 towards 'Grosser Muristalden'. Get off at the 'Kramgasse' stop. From there, it's a short walk down Kramgasse (approximately 5 minutes) to reach Kramgasse 40. Please note that a single ticket for the tram costs approximately CHF 4.50.
