Tram
From the Bern main train station (Bern HB), take tram line 9 in the direction of Gümligen. Stay on the tram for about 12 minutes and get off at the stop called 'Gümligen'. From there, you can catch a train from the nearby station that will take you to the Gruyère District. The direct train will take approximately 30 minutes, and you will arrive in the town of Bulle, which is the gateway to the Gruyère District.
Train
After reaching Bulle station, you will need to transfer to the local train that heads towards Montbovon. Get on the train and enjoy the scenic views as you travel for about 20 minutes. You can get off at the 'Gruyères' stop, which is the closest to the Gruyère District attractions, including the famous Gruyères Castle.
Bus
Once you arrive at Gruyères station, look for the bus stop outside the station. You can take bus line 4, which goes towards 'La Maison du Gruyère'. The bus ride will take about 10 minutes and drop you off right at the cheese factory and the entrance to the Gruyère District where you can explore.
