Getting There

  • Tram

    If you are starting at Bern main station (Bern Hauptbahnhof), take tram line 9 towards "Wabern, Gummistock" or tram line 11 towards "Grosser Murist". Exit at the stop "Helvetiaplatz". From there, walk for about 3 minutes towards Helvetiapl. The Welttelegrafen-Denkmal is located at Helvetiapl. 3005 Bern, right at the square.

  • Bus

    If you are near the Bundesplatz (Federal Square), you can take bus line 21 towards "Muri bei Bern, Wabern". Get off at "Helvetiaplatz". Walk towards Helvetiapl. The Welttelegrafen-Denkmal will be directly in front of you at Helvetiapl. 3005 Bern.

    If you are in the city center, simply walk to Helvetiaplatz. From the Zytglogge (Clock Tower), head southwest on Kramgasse, then turn left onto Münsterplattform. Continue straight to the end where it meets Helvetiapl. The Welttelegrafen-Denkmal is located in this square.
