Getting there

Bus

From Thun, head to the Thun Bahnhof (train station). There, you will find the bus terminal. Look for bus line 21, which goes directly to Iseltwald. The bus ride will take approximately 30 minutes. Once you arrive in Iseltwald, disembark at the main bus stop. From there, you can easily walk to the lake or explore the village.

Train and Bus

Start at Thun Bahnhof and take a train towards Interlaken. Get off at the Wilderswil station. At Wilderswil, transfer to bus line 21 heading towards Iseltwald. The bus journey will take around 15 minutes. Get off at the main bus stop in Iseltwald. You will be close to the lake and the picturesque village.

Walking

If you are feeling adventurous and are up for a long hike, consider walking from Thun to Iseltwald. The distance is approximately 12 kilometers (7.5 miles) and will take about 2.5 to 3 hours. Start at the Thun city center and follow the signs towards the lake, then take the lakeside path that leads you to Iseltwald. Enjoy the beautiful views of Lake Thun along the way.

Bicycle
