If you are driving, head towards Lucerne city center. Use the A2 motorway and take exit 30 towards Lucerne. Follow the signs for Lucerne and continue straight onto the Gotthardstrasse (A2). Once you reach the city, follow the signs for the historic city center. When you arrive at Reusssteg, look for parking nearby, as parking is limited in the city center. The Lucerne Needle Dam (Reusswehr) is located along the river, easily accessible by foot from most parking areas.

To reach the Lucerne Needle Dam using public transportation, take a train to Lucerne’s main train station (Luzern Bahnhof). From the train station, exit and head towards the lake. Follow the signs to the lake promenade, and then walk along the Reuss River towards the old town. The dam is located at Reusssteg, which is just a short walk from the lake. You can also take tram line 1 or 2 from the train station towards 'Weggis' or 'Kriens' and get off at the 'Reusssteg' stop, which is very close to the dam.
