Getting there

Train

From Lausanne, head to the Lausanne Gare (train station). You can get there by walking or taking the metro line M2 to 'Gare'. Once at Lausanne Gare, purchase a ticket to Gruyères. Take the train towards 'Bulle' or 'Montbovon'. The journey takes approximately 1 hour. After arriving at Gruyères station, exit the train and follow the signs towards the village center.

Bus

While you're at the Gruyères station, you can take a local bus (line 223) towards 'Château de Gruyères'. This bus will take you directly to the foot of the mountain. The ride is short, about 15 minutes, and offers lovely views of the surrounding countryside.

Walking

From the bus stop at 'Château de Gruyères', walk towards the entrance of the Château. You can also follow the trail that leads up to the Moléson peak. The hike can take around 2 hours depending on your pace, but it's a well-marked path with beautiful scenery.
