Car
If you're traveling by car, head towards the town of Chur, the capital of Graubünden. From Chur, take the A13 motorway towards Thusis. Take exit 23-Chur-Süd and follow the signs for Haldenstein. After exiting the motorway, continue on the main road (Landstrasse) for about 4 kilometers. You will enter the village of Haldenstein. Once in Haldenstein, look for Oberdorf street; Ruine Haldenstein is located at Oberdorf 9, 7023 Haldenstein. There is limited parking available near the castle.
Public Transportation
If you prefer public transport, take the train to Chur from your starting point in Graubünden. Once in Chur, transfer to bus line 3 towards Haldenstein. The bus will take you directly to Haldenstein. Get off at the Haldenstein, Post stop. From the bus stop, it’s a short walk to Oberdorf 9, where Ruine Haldenstein is located. Please check the local bus schedules for the most accurate times. A single bus ticket will cost around CHF 2.50 - CHF 5.00 depending on your departure point.
