Car
If you are driving, head to Flims, which is approximately 30 minutes from Chur, the capital of Graubünden. From Chur, take the A13 motorway towards San Bernardino. Exit at Flims (Exit 17) and follow the signs to Flims Waldhaus. Once in Flims, follow the signs towards the Segnesboden area. You will reach a parking area near the Flims cable car station. Parking fees may apply, so ensure to check the payment options available.
Public Transportation
To reach Unterer Segnesboden using public transport, take a train to Chur from your location within Graubünden. From Chur, switch to a bus heading to Flims Waldhaus. The bus ride usually takes about 30 minutes. Once you arrive at Flims Waldhaus, you can take the cable car to Segnesboden. The cable car ticket will incur an additional cost, so be prepared to purchase this at the station. The cable car offers breathtaking views, and once at the top, you can begin your hike towards Unterer Segnesboden.
Hiking
After arriving at the Segnesboden cable car station, you will need to hike approximately 1.5 km to reach Unterer Segnesboden. Follow the marked hiking trails which are well-maintained and clearly signposted. The trail will take you through stunning alpine scenery, and the hike should take about 30-40 minutes. Ensure you have appropriate footwear and supplies, as conditions can vary.
