Hiking
From the center of Grindelwald, head towards the Grindelwald First cable car station located at Firstbahn, which is about a 15-minute walk from the village center. Follow the signs to Firstbahn. Once you reach the cable car station, purchase a ticket to take the cable car to First. The ride offers stunning views of the Eiger mountain. After arriving at First, follow the well-marked hiking trail towards Faulhorn. The hike takes about 2-2.5 hours. Keep to the left as you ascend, and enjoy the breathtaking scenery along the way. The trail will lead you to Faulhorn, where you can enjoy panoramic views of the surrounding mountains.
Hiking
Alternatively, if you prefer a longer hike, you can start directly from Grindelwald. Begin your hike from the village center, heading towards the trail signs that lead to Faulhorn. This route is approximately 4-5 hours one way and is more challenging. Follow the signs for the Faulhorn trail, which will take you through beautiful alpine meadows and forests. Make sure to wear proper hiking shoes, and carry enough water and snacks for the journey.
