Getting There

  • Train

    From Interlaken Ost station, take a direct train to Bern. The journey takes approximately 50 minutes. Trains run frequently throughout the day, so check the schedule for the next departure. Once you arrive at Bern's main train station (Bern Hauptbahnhof), exit the station and follow the signs towards the city center.

  • Bus

    You can also take a bus from Interlaken to Bern. Check the local bus schedule at the Interlaken West bus station. The bus ride may take a little longer than the train, around 1.5 hours. Once you arrive at the bus terminal in Bern, you can walk towards the city center or catch local trams.

  • Walking/Tram

    After arriving at Bern Hauptbahnhof by train, exit the station and head towards the main exit. From there, you can either walk to the city center (approximately 10-15 minutes) or catch a tram. If you choose to take the tram, look for tram line 9 or 10 which will take you directly to the center of Bern. The tram stop is located just outside the train station.
