From Lausanne, head to the Lausanne train station (Gare de Lausanne). You can reach the station by taking any local bus or tram that heads in that direction. Once at the station, purchase a ticket to Gruyères. Trains to Gruyères typically run every hour. The journey takes about 1 hour. Once you arrive at Gruyères station, exit the platform and follow the signs to the bus stop outside the station.

From Gruyères train station, take the local bus number 12 towards 'Château de Gruyères'. The bus ride is short and takes around 10 minutes. Make sure to get off at the stop named 'Château'. From the bus stop, follow the path uphill for about 5 minutes, and you will reach the entrance of Château de Gruyères located at Rue du Château 8.

If you prefer to walk from the Gruyères train station, exit the station and head straight on the main road (Route de la Gare) towards the village. After about 15 minutes of walking, you will see signs directing you to the Château. Follow the signs, and you will arrive at the Château de Gruyères in approximately 20 minutes.
