From Lausanne train station (Gare de Lausanne), purchase a ticket to Montreux. Trains to Montreux depart regularly, approximately every 30 minutes. The journey takes around 30 minutes. Once you arrive at Montreux station, exit the station and walk towards the lakefront. Follow the signs to the Montreux Jazz Festival, which is located along Av. Claude-Nobs. The festival area is just a short 10-minute walk from the station.

You can take the bus from Lausanne to Montreux. Catch bus line 201 or 204 from the bus stop near the Lausanne train station. The bus ride will take approximately 40 minutes. Get off at the 'Montreux, gare' stop. From there, follow the signs towards the lakefront. The Montreux Jazz Festival is on Av. Claude-Nobs, about a 15-minute walk from the bus stop.

For a scenic route, take a boat from Lausanne to Montreux. Head to the Ouchy port located near the Olympic Museum. Check the boat schedule and purchase your ticket. The boat ride takes about 1 hour. Upon arriving at Montreux, disembark and walk towards Av. Claude-Nobs, which is a short 5-minute walk from the boat landing.
