Getting There

Train
From Locarno, head to the train station (Stazione di Locarno). You can walk there in about 10 minutes from the city center, following Via C. Ghiringhelli towards the lake, then turn left on Viale Verbano until you see the station. Take a train towards Tirano and get off at Varenna-Esino station. The journey takes approximately 50 minutes.

Ferry
Once you arrive at Varenna-Esino station, exit the station and walk down to the ferry terminal (approximately a 10-minute walk). Take a ferry to the nearby town of Bellagio. The ferry ride is scenic and takes about 15 minutes. Upon arriving at Bellagio, you will need to transfer to another ferry heading towards Vezio.

Hiking
After disembarking from the ferry at Vezio, follow the signs to Castello di Vezio. It is a short hike uphill, approximately 20 minutes, with well-marked trails guiding you to the castle. The views along the path are beautiful, so take your time to enjoy the scenery.

Bus
Alternatively, from Varenna-Esino station, you can take a local bus (Line 15) directly to Perledo. The bus ride takes about 10 minutes. Once you arrive at Perledo, follow the signs to Castello di Vezio, which is around a 15-minute walk from the bus stop.
