Walking
If you're starting from the Locarno train station, exit the station and head towards the lakefront. Walk south along the Via delle Vigne until you reach the waterfront promenade. Continue walking along the lake, enjoying the view, until you reach the ferry terminal. Take a ferry to Varenna. Once you arrive at Varenna, head straight to Viale Giovanni Polvani, which is just a short walk from the ferry dock. The Villa Monastero will be located at number 4 on your left.
Public Transport (Train & Ferry)
From Locarno, board a train heading towards Varenna-Esino. You will need to change trains at the Lecco station. After reaching Lecco, follow the signs to the ferry terminal and take a ferry to Varenna. Once you disembark at Varenna, walk towards Viale Giovanni Polvani. The Villa Monastero is located at number 4, just a few minutes' walk from the ferry terminal.
