Getting There

Walking
From the Locarno train station, exit and head southwest on Via della Stazione towards Via G. Motta. Turn left onto Via G. Motta and continue until you reach the end of the street. You will then find yourself at the lakeshore promenade. Turn right and walk along the promenade until you reach the bus terminal. From there, take Bus number 10 towards Ascona. After approximately 30 minutes, get off at the 'Como' bus stop. Walk towards the north on Via Vittorio Emanuele until you reach Piazza Vittoria. The Porta Torre will be visible in the square.

From Locarno train station, buy a ticket to Como. Board the train heading towards Milano Centrale. After a scenic ride of approximately 40 minutes, disembark at the Como San Giovanni station. From the station, exit and head north on Viale Giuseppe Garibaldi. Continue straight until you reach Piazza Vittoria, where the Porta Torre is located.
