Public Transport
From Lucerne, head to the Lucerne train station (Bahnhof) and take the train to Zürich HB (Zürich Hauptbahnhof). The journey takes about 50 minutes. Once you arrive at Zürich HB, follow the signs to the S-Bahn (suburban train). Take the Sihltal line (S4 or S10) towards Zürich Selnau or Uetikon. Get off at Zürich Zoo (Zoo Zürich) station. From there, it's a short 10-minute walk to the entrance of Zoo Zürich, following the signs or using a map.

From Lucerne, take the train to Zürich HB (Zürich Hauptbahnhof). Once at Zürich HB, you can take the tram directly to Zoo Zürich. Board Tram 6 towards Zoo and get off at the final stop. The zoo entrance is just a few steps away from the tram stop.

If you prefer to walk, after arriving at Zürich HB, exit the station and head towards the city center. Walk along Bahnhofstrasse, one of the world's most exclusive shopping avenues, until you reach Paradeplatz. From Paradeplatz, take a left onto Talstrasse, then continue to follow the signs for Zürich Zoo, which will guide you through the beautiful parks and streets to the zoo.
