Walking
If you are in the center of Lucerne, start at the main train station (Bahnhof Luzern). Exit the station and walk towards the lakefront (Luzernersee). As you face the lake, turn left and head along the promenade. Continue walking along the lake until you reach the Chapel Bridge (Kapellbrücke). Cross the bridge and continue straight on Weinmarkt street. Keep walking until you reach the junction with Pfistergasse. Turn right onto Pfistergasse. The Historisches Museum Luzern will be on your left-hand side at Pfistergasse 24.
Public Transport (Bus)
If you prefer to take public transport, head to the nearest bus stop, which is located outside the main train station. Take bus number 1 or 2 towards 'Hirschmatt' and get off at the stop 'Bundesplatz'. From there, walk straight along Bundesplatz until you reach the intersection with Pfistergasse. Turn right onto Pfistergasse and you will find the Historisches Museum Luzern at number 24 on your left.
Public Transport (Tram)
Alternatively, you can take tram line 1 or 2 from the main train station. Get on at the station and ride for two stops to 'Münster'. Once you exit, walk along the Reuss River towards the Chapel Bridge (Kapellbrücke). After crossing the bridge, continue straight until you reach the junction with Pfistergasse. Turn right onto Pfistergasse and the museum will be on your left at number 24.
