Once at the station, purchase a ticket to Stresa, which is in Italy. The train ride takes about 1 hour and 15 minutes. Make sure to check the schedule for the next train. Upon arrival in Stresa, exit the train station and follow the signs towards the ferry terminal to reach the Borromean Islands.
Ferry
Once you arrive in Stresa, walk approximately 10 minutes to the ferry terminal situated along the lakeshore. Look for the ferry service that connects to the Borromean Islands. Purchase your ticket at the terminal, and you can take a ferry that will take you directly to the islands. The ferry ride offers beautiful views of the lake and takes around 20-30 minutes, depending on which island you are visiting first.
