From Lugano, head to the Lugano train station (Stazione di Lugano). Take the train towards Domodossola. Make sure to check the train schedule for departure times. Once you arrive at the Verbania-Pallanza train station, exit the station and walk towards the bus stop. Take the bus that heads towards Verbania. Get off at the stop 'Lungolago' which is the closest to Lungolago di Suna. From there, it is a short walk to Lungolago di Suna.

From Lugano, go to the main bus terminal (Lugano, Stazione). Take bus line number 5 towards Ponte Tresa. Travel until you reach the stop 'Verbania, Suna'. After disembarking, head towards the lake; Lungolago di Suna will be right by the water's edge. This is a direct route with no transfers needed.

If you are near the lakeshore in Lugano, you can enjoy a scenic walk along the waterfront. Head north along the lakefront promenade towards the area of Paradiso, then continue along the lakeside path. Follow the signs for 'Lugano' and walk towards the border area where you can cross into Italy. After crossing, head towards Verbania and follow the signs to Lungolago di Suna. This is a longer option and is best for those who enjoy walking.
