Train
From Lugano, head to the Lugano train station (Stazione di Lugano). Take the direct train to Zermatt. The journey takes approximately 3 hours with one transfer at Visp. Once you arrive in Zermatt, exit the train station and follow the signs to the Gornergrat Bahn (Gornergrat Railway).

Cable Car
After reaching Zermatt, purchase a ticket for the Gornergrat Bahn. Board the train and enjoy the scenic ride up to Gornergrat station. From there, transfer to the cable car that goes to Plateau Rosa. The cable car will take you directly to Plateau Rosa, where you can enjoy stunning views of the Matterhorn and surrounding glaciers.
