Bus

From Lugano, head to the main bus terminal, which is located at Piazza della Riforma. Look for the bus line that goes to Como. You can take line 501, which usually has departures every 30 minutes. The bus ride to Como takes approximately 40 minutes. Once you arrive at Como, disembark at the main bus station, and from there, it is a 15-minute walk to Villa Olmo.
Train

Make your way to the Lugano train station (Stazione di Lugano). Look for trains heading to Como, which is typically a direct route. Trains run frequently, about every 30 minutes, and the journey takes around 30 minutes. Upon arrival at Como station, exit and turn left onto Via Garibaldi, then continue until you reach the lakefront. Follow the lakeside promenade towards the right until you reach Villa Olmo, which is approximately a 20-minute walk from the train station.
Walking

If you are already in the city center of Lugano, you can enjoy a scenic walk to Como. Start at Piazza della Riforma and head towards the lake. From there, follow the lakeside promenade along the shore of Lake Lugano until you reach the border of Italy. You will continue walking along the lakeside until you arrive at the city of Como. This walk will take approximately 1.5 to 2 hours and offers beautiful views of the lake and mountains.
