    From Lugano, head to the Lugano train station (Stazione di Lugano). You can walk there from the city center; it’s about a 10-minute walk. Once at the station, purchase a ticket to Como. The train ride takes approximately 30-40 minutes. Once you arrive at Como San Giovanni train station, exit the station and walk towards the lakefront. Turn left, and follow the lakeside promenade until you reach the main road. Continue along Viale Giuseppe Garibaldi, which will lead you towards Piazza Vittoria, where Porta Torre is located.

    From the center of Lugano, head to the bus station at Piazza Indipendenza. Look for bus line 2 or 3, which travels to Como. The bus ride will take around 45 minutes.
