Getting There
Walking
From the center of Mürren, head towards the Mürren cable car station, which is located at the end of the village. Once you reach the cable car station, board the cable car to the valley station in Lauterbrunnen. After arriving in Lauterbrunnen, transfer to the train station located just a short walk from the cable car station. Take the train to Interlaken Ost, and then switch trains to the Interlaken - Thun line. Get off at Thun station. From Thun station, you can either walk to Thun Castle, which is about a 15-minute walk (head towards the lake and follow the signs), or take a local bus towards Schlossberg, which will drop you off near the castle entrance.
Public Transport
Starting from the main area of Mürren, walk to the Mürren cable car station. Take the cable car down to Lauterbrunnen. Once you arrive in Lauterbrunnen, find the train station and board the train heading to Interlaken Ost. At Interlaken Ost, change to the train bound for Thun. When you arrive at Thun station, follow the signs to the bus terminal and catch bus number 21 or 22 heading towards the Schlossberg area. Get off at the Schlossberg stop, which is very close to Thun Castle.
