    From Thun, make your way to the Thun train station (Bahnhof Thun). You can walk to the station from the city center, which is about a 10-minute walk. Once at the station, purchase a ticket to Grindelwald. The train journey will require a transfer at Interlaken Ost. After arriving at Interlaken Ost, transfer to a train towards Grindelwald. The total travel time is approximately 1 hour and 45 minutes. Once you arrive at Grindelwald station, exit the station and look for the signs pointing towards the gondola station for First. It is about a 15-minute walk from the train station.

    Bus

    If you prefer to take a bus, from the Thun train station, you can take the PostBus service to Grindelwald. First, check the schedule for the next departure. The journey takes about 1 hour and 30 minutes, providing a scenic route. When you arrive in Grindelwald, walk towards the First gondola station, which is well-signposted and about a 10-minute walk from the bus stop.

    Bicycle

    For the more adventurous, consider renting a bicycle in Thun. You can ride along the Lake Thun shoreline towards Interlaken. The route is approximately 35 km and takes you through beautiful landscapes. Once in Interlaken, you can either continue to Grindelwald by bike (about 20 km further) or return to the train station and take the train to Grindelwald. The bicycle ride provides a unique view of the area but be prepared for some uphill sections if you choose to bike all the way to Grindelwald.
