From the center of Thun, start at Thun Bahnhof (the main train station). Head southeast on Bahnhofstraße towards the old town. You can take the stairs down to the riverside promenade. Follow the promenade along the Aare river in the direction of the lake. This will lead you to the area where the river meets Lake Thun.
