Train
Start at Thun train station. Take a train towards 'Reichenbach im Kandertal' from platform 1. The journey takes about 30 minutes. Once you arrive at Reichenbach im Kandertal station, exit the station and look for the bus stop. Take bus number 21, which heads towards 'Niesenbahn'. Stay on the bus for about 15 minutes until you reach the Niesenbahn stop. From there, follow the signs to the Niesen cable car station.

From Thun, you can take bus number 21 directly from the Thun bus terminal. This bus will take you to the Niesenbahn stop without needing to transfer. The ride will take approximately 45 minutes. Once you arrive at the Niesenbahn stop, follow the signs to the cable car station, which will be a short walk away.

Walking
If you prefer walking, you can take a scenic route from the Reichenbach im Kandertal station to Niesen. It takes about 1 hour and 15 minutes. Exit the train station and head east along the main road (Kandertalstrasse) towards Niesen. Follow the signs directing you to Niesen. The path is well marked and will lead you through beautiful landscapes, but be prepared for an uphill trek.
