Car
If you're driving, head to St. Gallen from anywhere in Thurgau. Take the A1 motorway towards St. Gallen. Once you reach St. Gallen, take exit 82 towards St. Gallen-Winkeln. Follow the signs towards the city center (Zentrum). You will find parking options nearby, such as the City Parkhaus or Parking Klosterplatz. After parking, walk towards Klosterhof, and you will see the St. Gallen Cathedral right in front of you.
Train
To reach St. Gallen by train, board a train from any major station in Thurgau, such as Frauenfeld or Kreuzlingen, heading to St. Gallen. The journey usually takes about 30-40 minutes. Once you arrive at the St. Gallen train station, exit the station and head towards the city center. You can take a bus (Line 5 or 9) or walk, which will take you approximately 15 minutes. Follow the signs to Klosterhof, and you will arrive at the St. Gallen Cathedral.
Bus
If you prefer to travel by bus, take a regional bus from various locations in Thurgau to St. Gallen. Check the schedules for routes going to the St. Gallen main bus station. Upon arriving at the bus station, it’s about a 10-minute walk to Klosterhof. Head east on Bahnhofstrasse, then turn left onto St. Leonhardstrasse, and continue straight until you reach the cathedral at Klosterhof.
