Car
If you're driving from the town of Altdorf in Uri, start by heading east on the A2 motorway towards Gotthard. Continue on the A2 for approximately 25 kilometers and take the exit towards Göschenen. Follow the signs to the Oberalppass road (Route 19). Drive along this scenic route for about 30 kilometers until you reach the Rhonegletscher area. Look for signs directing you to the parking area near the Eisgrotte Belvédère. There is a parking fee of around CHF 5-10 for the day.

To reach the Eisgrotte Belvédère using public transport, start from the Altdorf train station. Take a train towards Göschenen and transfer to the PostBus at the Göschenen Post stop. The PostBus will take you to the Rhonegletscher stop. The total journey typically takes about 1.5 to 2 hours depending on connections. Be sure to check the PostBus schedule ahead of time for the latest departure times. The bus fare is approximately CHF 15-20.
