Car
From Uri, take the A2 highway towards Gotthard. Continue on A2 for approximately 20 kilometers. Take the exit towards Chur/Flims (A13) and follow the signs to Tujetsch. Once in Tujetsch, look for signs directing you to the Tomasee. The last stretch is a winding road leading to the parking area near the Tomasee trailhead. Parking may cost around CHF 5-10 for the day.

Public Transportation
From Uri, take a train from the Uri train station to Chur. Once in Chur, transfer to a bus heading to Tujetsch. The bus ride will take approximately 40 minutes. Alight at the stop for Tomasee. From there, it is a short walk to the lake. Ensure to check the bus schedule as services may vary, and a ticket for the train and bus will cost around CHF 20-30 in total.

If you are feeling adventurous, you can hike from the nearest bus stop in Tujetsch to Tomasee. The hike is approximately 4 kilometers and takes around 1-1.5 hours. Follow the marked trails; they offer stunning views along the way. Make sure to wear appropriate footwear and bring water as there are no services along the trail.
