Car
To reach Stein Glacier from Uri by car, start on the main road (A2) heading south. After approximately 25 kilometers, take the exit towards Innertkirchen. Follow the signs for Innertkirchen, and once you enter the town, continue straight on the main road. The road will lead you towards the mountains. Keep an eye out for signs directing you to Stein Glacier. The parking area is located near the entrance to the glacier. Make sure to park in designated areas.
Public Transportation
To get to Stein Glacier from Uri using public transportation, begin at the Uri train station. Take a train to Meiringen, which should take about 20 minutes. Once you arrive in Meiringen, transfer to a local bus heading towards Innertkirchen. The bus ride will take approximately 15 minutes. Get off at the stop for Innertkirchen. From there, you can either walk or take a taxi to the glacier. The walk is about 3 kilometers and will take you around 30-40 minutes, following the signs to Stein Glacier.
