Car
If you are traveling by car, start from Lausanne. Head east on the A1 motorway towards Yverdon-les-Bains. Take the exit towards Vallorbe (Exit 18). Continue on Route de la Vallée for about 10 km until you reach Vallorbe. Once in Vallorbe, follow the signs for 'Saut du Day' and park at the designated parking area near the entrance to the hiking paths.
Public Transportation
To reach Saut du Day by public transportation, take a train from Lausanne to Vallorbe. Trains run regularly, and the journey takes about 40 minutes. Once you arrive at Vallorbe station, exit the station and follow signs for the local bus (Bus 701 or 702) that goes to 'Saut du Day.' The bus ride will take approximately 10 minutes. Be sure to check the bus schedule in advance as service may be limited on weekends.
Walking
For those who enjoy hiking, you can also walk from Vallorbe to Saut du Day. After arriving at Vallorbe train station, head towards the town center and follow the signs that direct you to Saut du Day. The hike is approximately 4 km and should take around 1 hour on foot. The trail is well-marked and offers beautiful views of the surrounding area.
