If you are driving, start by heading towards Lausanne. Use the A1 motorway if you are coming from Geneva or the A9 if you are coming from Montreux. Once you reach Lausanne, follow signs for 'Lausanne Centre' and then for 'Vidy'. Exit the motorway and continue on Route de Vidy. Follow the road until you reach Avenue Emile-Henri-Jaques-Dalcroze. Vidy-beach is located directly at this address. Parking is available nearby, but be prepared to pay for parking, which typically costs around CHF 2-3 per hour.
Public Transportation
For those using public transport, take the train to Lausanne from major Swiss cities like Geneva or Zurich. Upon arrival at Lausanne train station, exit and find the Metro station located underground. Take Metro Line M2 towards Ouchy, and get off at the Ouchy stop. From there, it is about a 15-minute walk to Vidy-beach. Walk along the lakeside promenade, and you will arrive at the beach. Alternatively, you can take bus line 21 from the train station to the 'Vidy' stop, which is a short walk from the beach.
