Walking
From the center of Wengen, head towards the Wengen train station. Once you reach the station, follow signs for the cable car to Männlichen. Take the cable car, which will provide stunning views of the surrounding mountains. Upon arriving at Männlichen, follow the hiking trail signs towards Sulwald. The trail is well-marked and takes approximately 1.5 to 2 hours to hike down to Aussichtspunkt Sulwald. Be sure to wear sturdy hiking shoes and bring water.
Cable Car and Hiking
Begin your journey from Wengen by walking to the Wengen cable car station. Purchase a ticket for the cable car ride to Männlichen (the price is around CHF 15-20 one way). Once you reach Männlichen, follow the signs for the hiking path to Aussichtspunkt Sulwald. The hike will take about 1.5 to 2 hours, descending along well-marked trails with beautiful panoramas. Make sure to check the weather conditions and pack appropriate gear.
Public Transportation
If you prefer public transportation, take the train from Wengen to Lauterbrunnen. This train operates frequently and takes around 15 minutes. Once you arrive in Lauterbrunnen, you can take a bus or taxi to Chäle, from where you can follow the hiking trail to Aussichtspunkt Sulwald. The bus ride will take approximately 10 minutes. Make sure to have Swiss currency for the bus fare, which is around CHF 5.
