Train and Cable Car
From Wengen, you can easily reach Mürrenbachfall by taking a train to Lauterbrunnen. First, walk to the Wengen train station, which is located in the center of the village. Board the Wengen to Lauterbrunnen train, which takes about 15 minutes. Once you arrive in Lauterbrunnen, exit the train station and walk to the nearby cable car station (approximately 5 minutes on foot). Purchase a ticket for the cable car to Mürren, which costs around CHF 10-15. The cable car ride itself takes about 10 minutes. After reaching Mürren, follow the signs to the hiking trail leading to Mürrenbachfall, which is about a 30-minute hike. Make sure to wear comfortable shoes and bring water.
Hiking
If you're feeling adventurous and want to hike from Wengen directly to Mürrenbachfall, start from the center of Wengen and follow the marked trail towards Lauterbrunnen. The hike takes approximately 1.5 to 2 hours and is about 8 kilometers long. The trail offers stunning views of the valley and waterfalls along the way. Once you reach Lauterbrunnen, follow the previous instructions to take the cable car to Mürren and then hike to Mürrenbachfall.
Taxi
For a more direct route, consider taking a taxi from Wengen to Lauterbrunnen. Taxis are available in Wengen, but it is advisable to book in advance, especially during peak tourist seasons. The taxi ride will take approximately 10-15 minutes and should cost around CHF 30-40. From Lauterbrunnen, follow the instructions above for the cable car to Mürren and the hike to Mürrenbachfall.
