Getting There

• Walking

  From the center of Wengen, head towards the Wengen train station. Once at the station, you will need to take the train to Lauterbrunnen. The train ride takes about 15 minutes and offers stunning views of the surrounding mountains. Upon arrival in Lauterbrunnen, transfer to the bus that goes to Grindelwald. This bus ride will take approximately 30 minutes. After arriving in Grindelwald, head to the Seilbahn Honegg station, which is located nearby. You will need to purchase a lift ticket to take the gondola to the Bergstation. The gondola ride offers breathtaking views and takes about 10 minutes.

• Train and Bus

  Start your journey at the Wengen train station. Board a train to Lauterbrunnen, which runs frequently. After approximately 15 minutes, you will reach Lauterbrunnen. From Lauterbrunnen, you will need to catch the PostBus to Grindelwald. The bus service runs regularly and the journey will take around 30 minutes. Upon arriving in Grindelwald, locate the Seilbahn Honegg station. Be prepared to buy a gondola ticket for access to the Bergstation, with a ride time of about 10 minutes.

  If you prefer a more direct route, consider taking a taxi from Wengen to Grindelwald. Taxis can be arranged at the Wengen train station or booked in advance. The drive takes approximately 25 minutes, and you will be dropped off directly at the Seilbahn Honegg station in Grindelwald. Remember to ask the driver for the best route to avoid any delays. Don't forget to purchase a gondola ticket upon arrival for the final ascent to Bergstation.
