Walking
From the center of Zermatt, start at the main train station (Bahnhof Zermatt). Exit the station and head east on Bahnhofstrasse, which is the main street. Continue straight until you reach the end of Bahnhofstrasse, where you will see a small park called Zermatt Park. Walk through the park and follow the signs towards the Dossen Gletschergarten. As you exit the park, turn left onto a path that leads uphill. Follow this path, which will take you past some scenic viewpoints and uphill towards the Dossen area.

If you prefer a more adventurous route, you can opt for a hiking trail. From Zermatt, take the path that leads to the Gornergrat railway station. Instead of taking the train, follow the marked hiking trail that goes towards Dossen Gletschergarten. This trail is well signposted and will guide you through beautiful alpine scenery. The hike will take approximately 1-2 hours depending on your pace.

Public Transport
While there is no direct public transport to Dossen Gletschergarten, you can take the Gornergrat railway from Zermatt. Board the train at Gornergrat Bahn station, and disembark at the Gornergrat station. From there, take the well-marked hiking trail back down towards Dossen Gletschergarten. This option allows you to enjoy spectacular views of the Matterhorn and surrounding peaks while making your way to the Gletschergarten.
