Walking
From Zermatt train station, exit the station and head towards the main street, Bahnhofstrasse. Follow the street until you reach the first intersection. Turn left onto Gornergratbahn street and continue straight. After about 10 minutes, you will reach the Gornergrat Bahn cable car station. Purchase a ticket to Gornergrat. Take the cable car up and enjoy the stunning views. Once you reach Gornergrat station, follow the signs to the hiking trail leading to Grindjisee. The trail is well-marked and takes approximately 30-40 minutes to hike down to Grindjisee.

From Zermatt, walk to the Matterhorn Glacier Paradise cable car station located on the edge of the village. Buy a ticket for the cable car to Matterhorn Glacier Paradise. Once you arrive, take the cable car to the Gornergrat station. From there, follow the signs for the hiking trail to Grindjisee. The hike will take around 30-40 minutes. The views along the trail are breathtaking, so take your time and enjoy the scenery.
