From the center of Zermatt, head southwest on Bahnhofstrasse towards the Matterhorn Museum. Continue straight for about 500 meters until you reach the end of the street. At the intersection, take a left onto Oberdorfstrasse. Follow this road as it curves to the right and becomes Untere Matten. Keep walking straight for another 1 kilometer until you see signs for Grünsee. The signs will direct you towards the hiking path. Follow the path for approximately 30 minutes to reach Grünsee, enjoying the scenic views along the way.
