From Zurich Hauptbahnhof (main train station), take the S12 train towards Winterthur. The trains run frequently, about every 30 minutes. The journey takes approximately 25 minutes. Get off at the Kyburg train station. Upon exiting the station, follow the signposts for 'Schloss Kyburg', which is about a 15-minute walk uphill from the station. You will walk on a well-marked path that leads directly to the castle.

From Zurich Hauptbahnhof, take tram line 4 to 'HB' (Hauptbahnhof). From there, transfer to bus number 520 towards 'Winterthur, Bahnhof'. Get off at the 'Kyburg, Schloss' stop. The bus ride will take around 40 minutes. The castle is right next to the bus stop, just a short walk away.

If you prefer cycling, rent a bicycle from one of the many bike rental locations in Zurich. Head towards the direction of Winterthur, following the bike paths along the river. The ride will take about 1 hour and 15 minutes. Upon reaching Kyburg, follow the signs to the castle, which is located on a hilltop. The path is paved and suitable for bikes.
