Getting There

  • Walking

    From Lindenhof, head south towards the Limmat river. Once you reach the riverbank, turn left and walk along the river until you reach the next bridge, which is the Rathausbrücke. Cross the bridge, and you will find yourself on the opposite side of the river. Continue straight until you reach the next intersection, then turn right onto Museumstrasse. The Swiss National Museum will be on your left at Museumstrasse 2, which should take around 15 minutes on foot.

  • Public Transport - Tram

    From Lindenhof, walk to the nearest tram stop at Paradeplatz. Board tram line 4 or 6 heading towards the direction of 'Zoo' or 'Escher-Wyss-Platz' respectively. Get off at the 'HB' (Hauptbahnhof) stop, which is just two stops away. Once you get off, exit the tram and walk towards the main exit of the train station. From there, follow the signs to Museumstrasse. The Swiss National Museum will be located at Museumstrasse 2, directly across from the train station. The tram ticket costs around 2.60 CHF for a single journey.
