Walking
From the center of Arusha, start at the Clock Tower roundabout. Head east on Uhuru Road, which is the main road going out of the city. Walk until you reach the junction with Sokoine Road, and turn left. Continue straight on Sokoine Road for about 1 kilometer until you reach a small roundabout. From there, take the first exit onto Old Moshi Road. Keep walking straight for about 3 kilometers, and you will pass several local shops and cafes along the way. As you approach the outskirts of the city, look for signs directing you toward the Mt. Meru area. You will need to take a left turn onto a smaller road leading toward the Mt. Meru Waterfall. Follow this road, and after about 1 kilometer, you will see the entrance to Mt. Meru Waterfall on your right.
Bicycle
Rent a bicycle from one of the local shops in Arusha. Begin your journey from the Clock Tower roundabout and ride east along Uhuru Road. After approximately 1 kilometer, take a left onto Sokoine Road. Continue riding on Sokoine Road for about 3 kilometers until you reach the small roundabout. Take the first exit onto Old Moshi Road, and ride straight for another 3 kilometers. As you get closer to the Mt. Meru area, keep an eye out for signs indicating the direction to the waterfall. Take a left onto the smaller road that leads toward Mt. Meru Waterfall. It's about 1 kilometer from there; the entrance will be on your right.
Motorbike Taxi (Boda Boda)
To reach Mt. Meru Waterfall using a motorbike taxi, head to a nearby Boda Boda stand, which can be found at various points around the city, especially near the Clock Tower. Inform the driver you want to go to Mt. Meru Waterfall. The driver will take you along the most efficient route, typically starting on Uhuru Road and then taking Sokoine Road. Expect the ride to take about 20-30 minutes. The driver will drop you off at the entrance of Mt. Meru Waterfall, where you can begin your exploration of the area.
